The Ethics Code of the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA) was established to further the ethical practice of law in the fields of adoption and assisted reproduction. Each Fellow, regardless of membership class, is bound by its requirements. All Fellows must also follow their own jurisdictions’ ethics rules. AAAA’s Code is meant to supplement and amplify standards of ethical legal practice.
The Code is not a static document and is revised from time-to-time to reflect changes in our fields of law. Proposed changes are reviewed by AAAA’s Board of Trustees and, if approved, are then put before the membership for a vote.
A mandatory Code of Ethics sets AAAA apart from many other professional organizations. Because of this requirement, clients, constituent groups, and the general public can expect AAAA Fellows to adhere to the highest ethical standards in the industry. Read the Ethics Code.
