AAAA Attorneys Support Congressional Action on Ukrainian Adoption

March 23, 2022 by AAAA-Admin

73 Members of Congress, led by the co-chairs of the bipartisan Congressional Adoption Caucus, Senators Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) and Roy Blunt (R-MO), and Representatives Adam Smith (D-WA) and Robert Aderholt (R-AL), stood up today for vulnerable children waiting to be adopted who are caught up in the crisis in Ukraine due to no fault of their own.

In a letter to the Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the bipartisan, bicameral group urged the Biden Administration to help unite Ukrainian children in the process of being adopted with their American adoptive families rather than keeping them in other locations throughout Europe and Ukraine designated for displaced persons.

The Academy of Adoption & Assisted Reproduction Attorneys thank these Members of Congress for taking the lead to help these Ukrainian children through their adoption process.
